Quezon writes from Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he would undergo gallstone surgery two days later, in full: “I am sorry that I have no photograph of mine at hand, otherwise it would have been my pleasure to send one as you requested. As soon as I am out of the Hospital I will do so, but if for some reason you don’t receive it in three weeks write me again c/o Bureau of Insular Affairs, War Department, Washington, D. C.” In very good condition, with light creasing, two rusty paperclip impressions to the top edge, and some paper loss to the bottom right corner. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
